Manufactured by the Mackay Envelope Company.Envelope features logos of the now defunct NHL Minnesota North Stars and ABA Minnesota Pipers, as well as the long-gone Met Center. Reverse of envelope features schedules for both teams from the 1968-69 season.CONNIE HAWKINS was the drawing card for the Pipers in what was otherwise a dismal 36-42 season.It's quite notable that the Pipers were a single year franchise in Minnesota. They were formerly known as the Pittsburgh Pipers and won the first ABA title in 1967-68. After their single season in Minnesota, they returned to Pittsburgh in 1969-70, changed their name to the Pittsburgh Condors for the 1970-72 seasons before finally folding.Not many survivors!
