1973 Willis Reed New York Knicks vs. Lakers Wilt Chamberlain Original TYPE I Photo

On February 6, 1973, the visiting L.A. Lakers beat the New York Knicks 95-90 at Madison Square Garden.  This was an early pre-cursor to the NBA Finals when the two teams faced each other again.  However, the Knicks would win the NBA Championship.

Offered is an original TYPE I photo that measures 8” x10” in size with handwritten notations on the back of the photo with details of the game.  The photo depicts future Hall of Famer, #19 Willis Reed going against #31 John Trapp (he only played in 5 games for the Lakers that season) of the Lakers to retrieve a rebound.  Also seen in the photo are Lakers legends – Gail Goodrich and Wilt Chamberlain.
