Details of the Jersey
The jersey is a pristine white knit, adorned with the iconic team name “GIANTS” emblazoned across the front. The player number “15” is prominently displayed on the back, while the name “MILLER” graces a white nameplate, all crafted in black on orange tackle twill.
Manufacturer:
Wilson label with instructions and size (44) on the front left tail.
• Tagging: Strip tag with “15 84”
• Condition: Presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear.
Inside of the jersey is an attached Paper tag 24 4138 Giants clubhouse inventory tag
In 1984, Bob Brenley wore #15; however non-roster and minor league players showed up several weeks before the Major Leaguers in Scottsdale, Arizona. The only player in the Giants system at the time was a pitcher by the name of Steve Miller (he was in the Giants farm system from 1983-87; never making it to the “Show.”
The numbers, nameplate, and tagging are all original, so our best guess is that Miller wore this jersey until sent down to his minor league spring training camp and Bob Brenley showed up to pick up his jersey.
This is a very sought after style jersey that comes out of a Bay Area collection (most likely purchased from the team).
