The 1995 San Francisco 49ers entered the season as defending Super Bowl champions. Despite losing Deion Sanders and Ricky Watters, San Francisco finished 11-5, winning its fourth straight NFC West title. The 49ers led the NFL in scoring and ranked first in total defense. Jerry Rice had a historic season with 122 catches for 1,848 yards. A highlight was a 38-20 upset of Dallas. Their title defense ended with a surprising 27-17 divisional playoff loss to Green Bay.
