The 1935 Major League All-Star Game, held at Cleveland’s Municipal Stadium, saw the American League defeat the National League 4–1. Jimmie Foxx powered the AL with a two-run homer, while Lefty Gomez earned the win, allowing just three hits over six innings. Mel Ott drove in the NL’s lone run. The victory marked the AL’s third straight All-Star triumph, solidifying its early dominance in the Midsummer Classic.
Offered is an original program (scored in pencil) from the 3rd MLB All-Star game in history. It has been signed in black steel tipped pen by both Babe Ruth (who was in attendance at the game) and starting right fielder, Joe Vosmik.
About:
Joe Vosmik (D. 1962 at age 51) this big leaguer played from 1930-44 for the Indians, Browns, Red Sox, Brooklyn Dodgers, and Senators. He finished 3rd in the 1935 AL MVP race and was a member of the All-Star team that year. He also helped the Dodgers win the pennant in 1941.
Fantastic historic piece that you can keep as originally intact or the Babe Ruth would make a fantastic cut signature!
