Buck Shaw (1897-1977) was a Notre Dame player under Knute Rockne and legendary coach. He led Santa Clara (47-10-4), became the San Francisco 49ers' first head coach (1946-1954), and won the 1960 NFL championship with Philadelphia over Lombardi's Packers. College Football Hall of Fame inductee.
