Carl Hubbell (D. 1988) pitched for the New York Giants from 1928 to 1943, winning 253 games and posting a 2.98 ERA. A two-time NL MVP (1936, 1937), he went 24-1 in 1936 and famously struck out five consecutive Hall of Famers in the 1934 All-Star Game. He was enshrined into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1947.
