Kelly Downs (born 1960) was a right-handed pitcher who spent eight seasons in the majors with the San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics from 1986 to 1993. He posted a career-best 13 wins for the Giants in 1988 and appeared in the 1989 World Series. He is perhaps best remembered off the field, appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated after the Loma Prieta earthquake interrupted Game 3 of that Series at Candlestick Park.
Offered is game used Louisville Slugger that shows some serious usage. Model Y30 dates from his days with the SF Giants (1986-92). The #37 has been written in the knob of the bat in black sharpie (the number he wore during his tenure with the Giants). Hollowed out barrel to make the bat lighter. Heavy crack in the handle.
