Gil Hodges (D. 1972 at age 47) was a power-hitting first baseman for the Brooklyn Dodgers, an eight-time All-Star who helped win the 1955 World Series. He later managed the New York Mets to their first championship in 1969 and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2022 (only 50 years after his death).
