Mike Garcia (D. 1986 at age 62) was the ace of the Cleveland Indians' legendary "Big Four" rotation alongside Bob Lemon, Early Wynn, and Bob Feller from 1949 to 1954, a staff widely regarded as one of baseball's greatest. During those six seasons, Garcia compiled a 104 to 57 record.

He won 20 or more games twice (with 2 seasons that he won 18 and 19 games respectively), led the AL in ERA twice, helped Cleveland win the 1954 AL pennant, finished runner-up for the 1954 AL MVP Award, and was a six-time All-Star. He finished his career with the White sox and Senators and had a lifetime 142-97 record and a 3.27 ERA.

Offered is a single signed Rawlings Official American League Baseball (Lee MacPhail – Haiti) that dates from 1982 (based on manufacturer markings).  The ball derives out of a collection based in Cleveland and we presumed this was signed in person. It features a bold blue sharpie pen signature on the side panel (we’d rate it 7-8/10).

The ball itself is heavily toned due to the leather used in the Haiti factory during this time. Despite this fact, finding Garcia on a single signed baseball is extremely tough!
