Reggie Harding (1942–1972) was a 7-foot center and the first player drafted into the NBA directly from high school, playing for the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls as a strong scorer and rebounder. His career collapsed amid suspensions, addiction, and violence. As reported in Loose Balls, Harding allegedly raped Florence Ballard and threatened Indiana Pacers’ teammate Jimmy Rayl with a gun. Imprisoned 1969–1971 for a concealed weapons charge, he sought a comeback but was murdered in Detroit in 1972.
Offered is a vintage signed 3x5 index card (late 60s signature).
