Vince “Moose” Boryla (1927–2016) was a basketball player, coach and executive. A consensus All-American at Denver, he won Olympic gold with the United States in 1948. Boryla played five seasons with the New York Knicks, earning NBA All-Star honors in 1951. He later coached the Knicks, helped build the 1971 ABA champion Utah Stars as general manager, and was named NBA Executive of the Year in 1985.
