Wayne A. Hightower (D. 2002) was an American basketball player (out of Philly – attended Overbrook High School a few year after Wilt) who had a long and productive career in the NBA and ABA during the 1960s and early 1970s. He was a 6'8" power forward and center who played his college ball at Kansas. The highlight of his of his NBA career came with the Warriors, together with fellow Philadelphia native Wilt Chamberlain he reached the 1964 NBA Finals. Hightower recorded his best season that year, averaging 13.2 and 7.2 PG.
Offered is an original circa 1963-64 team issued 8” x 10” photo signed in blue ink during his playing days. He signed the photo in blue ballpoint and personalized it to the team trainer, “To Schmidty – Best – Wayne Hightower”

Known for his professionalism and dedication, he spent decades caring for athletes, earning widespread respect across college and pro football for his expertise in injury prevention and player rehabilitation.
